Review – Decanting Club

Who wouldn’t want to have a couple of glasses of wine delivered through their letter box??

The idea of Decanting Club is a wine subscription service which is there to introduce people to a variety of wines. I like a glass of wine but if I’m honest I really don’t know anything about it. I stick to the same wine pretty much all the time and cost does come into a lot too.

When you subscribe to Decanting Club not only do you receive a glass of wine in a specially designed pouch but you are also invited to watch a tasting video (erm…how to do I get that job??) and can leave their very own review.

To sign up for this wine tasting club it’s £25 a month and you have a new wine delivered every week. I was sent two wines, a white wine which was described as ‘Austria’s Groovy Green Grape’ – Gruner Veltliner ‘Langenlois and a red wine called Nas del Gegant. Each wine came with an information card to tell you where the wine comes from, how it should be served and which food it’s best served with.

I liked both wines but I preferred the red, personally the white was a little fruity for me. That’s possibly because I like a dry wine normally. The red was lovely and after reading the information card I now know why…it’s got chocolate in it!!

This is such a great idea, whether you want to treat yourself or you want to drop a massive hint for Christmas (the gift that keeps giving I think).

Thank you Decanting Club for sending me some samples.

I’d be quite happy to sample some more – just to make sure 🙂

Cheers 🙂

  1. Cheers an interesting insight into how you perceived the experience. I find the pouches a little articial looking, not very inviting. But that’s a personal impression I guess. Thanks for sharing 🙂
